Psoriasis

Psoriasis affects approximately 2% of the general population. Psoriatic skin requires appropriate care to prevent recurrence. The skin should be cleansed and moisturised using extra gentle cosmetics only. The skin care regimen should include soothing products with healing, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties promoting healing of skin micro-injuries.

Ichthyol, an active ingredient which regulates cellular division processes in the epidermis and alleviates itching, is also commonly recommended. For the time being, psoriasis remains an incurable condition. With dermatological treatment supported by appropriate skin care, it tends to be significantly less burdensome.
